Chamber Greets New Residents with Information & Gifts.
The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce has a valuable gift for new residents of Crystal Lake, Lakewood and Prairie Grove.  Actually, they have a bagful of special gifts!
Since the early 70s, the Chamber has sponsored the "New Resident Greeter" Program.  Two qualified specialists are employed by the Chamber; together they have 21 years of experience.  They visit new residents, brief them on many services and programs available in the community and present them with a variety of gifts and coupons provided by Chamber member businesses.
The two greeters visit 60 new residents every month.  Reaction to the program is very positive.  The greeters can provide newcomers with answers to many questions, along with special "welcome" items.
